Laurah & me got back like an hour ago from the wedding shower that Annemarie had organized for us. It was so great!...We got so many gifts from everyone, it was overwhelming!!...THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH!!!
Evryone included these nice sappy cards with it, Laurah and me had such a great time....all the food was yummy, thanks to everyone who contributed to the party in any way!!!
We really appreciated everything!...Funny things of the day were the "questionnaire" that Laura created, the fact that 80% of everyone who attended got lost on the way there and that the most memorable entrance was the one of Ken`s dog Montana!...lol
To our surprise when we came home there was also a gift that Ken dropped off for us, which was this amazing Microwave!!
Again, thanks everyone for coming out, for all the presents, food & fun!!...We had the best time!

So after a few days here I`m finally gonna update now, spent most of the last days sleeping!!!..lol
Well,after i closed the door behind me in Hoogvliet(Rotterdam), Maarten & Me went to Schiphol Airport, bought some souvenirs for Laurah, Parents & others, and sat down and had like a last get-together. Once I went through the gates everything went pretty fast, before I knew it I was on the plane towards London Heathrow. When I was on the plane i saw Holland became further and further away, gave me a weird but good feeling on top of the really high/hazy feeling that i had throughout the day, everything felt so surreal. Maybe it`s because we we`re so long living towards this day and now it was finally here. When I landed at Heathrow I had like 2 hours till the flight to Chicago, so I went and bought some more souvenirs and sat down at a foodthingee and had me some fries and a coke. When I came to the right gate, they already started boarding so I could go right in.
During the 8 hour flight that followed, I spent like 4 hours talking to the friendly guy next to me who was out of Austin, we told eachother our lifestories, I watched some Video`s, listened to some music, had 2 naps, and then we we`re close to Chicago. At this time I was getting kinda nervous cause I know I still had to go see a Immigration-officer.
However, It only took like 5 minutes to go through immigration, the lady who was helping me was quite crabby, so she wasn`t really informative to say the least.
She took my sealed envelope and opened it and stamped here and there, attached something inside
my passport and such. She KEPT my files (what was in the envelope), when I asked whether they`re gonna keep it, she mumbled something that it was needed for processing??
I`m quite confused about this now, caue I don`t know how to go from here. Anyway once I went through, I went to get my luggage and found out that they lost my bag!! (Thankgod it only contained MOST of my clothes!!)
After that I finally could take Laurah in my arms again, which felt so good, I didn`t wanted to let go anymore...Since I`m here I`ve done a lot, I mean, a LOT of sleeping, I guess due to my last week in Holland had been so hectic, Jetlag, the stress of the whole visaprocedure that is over with and the comfort of being together again.
Yesterday (so only after 2 days!!) I had my first Job interview!!!
YAY!!...I got it and should start next week, trying out and see if we both like it...It`s a job for painting, plastering and repair work.
I want to thank AMY very much for this, cause thanks to her I got this job~~~!!!! Thank YOU!!!

Anyway, stopping for now....HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL VERY SOON!!!!!

My plane came in about 40 minutes early, but since they lost one of my suitcases I still didn't get out to Laurah until 4:15.
I'm exhausted and happy to be here. I'll write more when I wake up.

Today`s countdown brings me to;

9 days until I have Laurah in my arms,
8 days until the movingcompany picks up my stuff &
5 1/2 days left at the job!!

Hi....Here some more photo`s of our wonderful London-trip....
I`m glad we went and that despite Laurah still wasn`t  feeling well, 
that she had a great time nevertheless...I LOVE YOU, MY HONEY!!!

We also had some things happening that she`d forgot to mention in her post;
For one, our shower at the hotel was of such an high waterpressury caliber, that
it felt like a firehose has been pointed straight at you , (unlike are shower in our appartment
where you have to run left and right to catch some drops) 
Laurah described it as being beaten with a stick...lol...
it DID left her with a sore shoulder though for some hours...
Another thing was the elevator at the hotel; for some unknown reason there`s NO option
to press the floorlevel of which you wanna go to from inside of the elevator?!...
I don`t know whether this is some foul English design or that they spended so much money
on constructing the rest of the hotel, and cheaped out on one of those elevator-panels, but..
What you Have to do is, press the button of the floor you`ll be heading too when you call for 
the elevator on the outside.....then wait for it to come and practically pray the doors open at your desired level
the result is that when you wanted to go to the 3rd floor (in our case) and someone would have pressed some 
other button in the lobby you`d also go in some random or none undefinable way passed those floors, you follow?? In other terms, you need to go the 3rd floor, but before you may get out there, you have to pass the 8th, the 11th, the 16th floor,back to the lobby, get out and press 3rd floor again, pray again and get out at the 3rd...This happened several times...
God!...so annoying...
You would assume a 5 star hotel would have had that adjusted, but then again....
it`s also might be just 'us poor people" who might not know 
how to work this elevator-system...I don`t know.....you tell me...
